Manager - Engineering & Design

Location

Khakhariya Savli, Vadodara

Education

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Specialization in High Voltage Engineering is preferred.

Experience Required

12-20 Years

1) Design and develop High voltage and High current transformer Bushings using Finite Element simulation/modeling (Dielectric, Thermal, and Mechanical) and computing programs

2) Study and understand Customer/tendering specifications and develop customized product

3) Take overall responsibility for manufacturing costs and comply with deadlines of product development and manufacturing by closely working with all departments involved in the process

4) Standardize existing design rules and improve existing internal engineering processes

5) Improve efficiency and effectiveness of Technical bids and Proposals

6) Review and document the technical feasibility of product manufacturing, including risk assessment (FMEA) and cost-benefit analysis

7) Analysis of Test Bed and Site Failures of Transformer Bushing

8) Lead the engineering team in investigating root causes of problems or site failures (using FMEA methods, QC tools, etc.), developing solutions, and preparing related recommendations and reports

9) Data compilation, analysis, and presenting monthly E&D dept. performance indicators like new product presentations and other MIS for Efficiency and effectiveness monitoring of E&D.


Key skills


1) Well-versed with all Electrical & Mechanical Design Aspects of Transformer Bushings and applicable IEC/IEEE/IS standards.

2) Proficient in the use of ERP system, Microsoft Office, FEM tools & exposure to AutoCAD and Solid Works.

3) Team spirit and willingness to take initiative, Leadership.

4) Excellent command of communication (oral and written) while dealing with colleagues, National and International Customers.
